We
Want to Hear From You!
As
your board pledged at our state conference in
October, once again the Oregon State Chamber of
Commerce (OSCC) is holding regional meetings
around the state with chamber executives and key
volunteer leadership. These meetings will last
about two hours and the purpose is
two-fold--first, to provide you with a general
update regarding the activities and services of
OSCC and second, to provide chambers with an
opportunity to communicate with OSCC leadership.
We
would like chamber executives to bring one or
two of your volunteer leadership to the meeting
to discuss the local and regional issues facing
your chamber and your business community. And,
discuss how OSCC can better assist you facing
those challenges and help you meeting your
objectives. In
addition, it would be a great opportunity for
your board chair and/or government
relations/public policy chair to discuss
potential 2011 legislative issues.
While
you are welcome to attend any one of the
regional meetings (and we certainly hope you
will), your board has attempted to divide the
state into regions to make it as convenient as
possible for all chambers to attend. In the very
near future, you will receive more detailed
information about the meeting in your area from
your regional host. And, let me take this moment
to send a big “thank you” to the chambers
and chamber executives that have agreed to host
one of these meetings. Please mark your
calendars for these regional meetings:
